Originally built on land donated by the Albright family, it quickly became a space for locals to gather, learn, and celebrate. After William Albright of Finstall Hall died, it was his daughter Catherine who arranged for the Village Hall to be built on Albright land
Before it was a hall, the building was used for making lemonade. In 1914, it was gifted to the village by F. J. Batchelor and converted into a proper community space — fondly known by many as Finstall’s “grand old lady.”
Today, just as in the past, Finstall Village Hall is managed and cared for by a team of dedicated local volunteers — keeping it open, welcoming, and in use for everyone in the village.
Whether you want to volunteer your time, make a donation, or simply spread the word about our organization, there are many ways to get involved with Finstall Village Hall. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
